It felt really good to sit down at my sewing machines yesterday and do something creative. I made two more scrappy bonnet panels from other hoarded fabric scraps later that day. Is that what we should call them? Scrappy bonnets? Not sure I like that… makes them seem discarded when really they’re a lot of work & deserve that recognition… I shall stew on this a little bit 😂 anyways, I’m excited to make more of these. I have ever single scrap left over from the Tanya floral & I might dig into it today 😍
Remember my thrift adventure a week or so back? I found this cute little eyelet runner tucked in with the lace curtains. Even if I don’t have a design in mind for something when I see it out thrifting I always grab it because I never know when two textiles will come together. This runner just so happened to pair perfectly with a vintage cross-stitch I’d just found on Etsy - then paired with some donated eyelet & BAM ❤️ you’ve got the most beautiful little batch of OOAK bonnets
If bonnets went to the club 💃🏻🕺 this is how they'd dance 😂 Seriously though, I love all the videos made with this audio & I wanted to join in on the fun! I only wish I could have styled these bonnets on Lily! There are these two gorgeous OOAK embroideries & two other lamb ruffles on the website right now The really special OOAK bonnets don't last long so be sure to go check 👀 sometimes they hang out for a while & sometimes they're gone instantly. I have SO MANY MORE to share...
I bought these naturally hand dyed fabrics remnants a long while back from my amazingly talented friend Jess who owns @wild_fire_water_ 🌿 I remember it vividly because she was having a story sale to help fund a family emergency at the time 💪🏻 I love supporting my friends whenever I’m able & I knew I could put her gorgeous hand dyed textiles to good use.
