Welcome to the Small Shop Community!

I am so glad you've found us. My name is Carrie & I am the owner & designer at Sweet As April. For 7 years now I have been lucky to be a part of one of the best communities on Instagram, The Small Shop Community. I have three beautiful children & truly love photographing them (mostly our two little girls) while promoting small shops over here.

My love for the small shop community has mostly been shared through Instagram between my personal IG, the girls IG and our bonnet business. But I have always felt I could do so much more. I love taking photos, videos, mail sharing, teaching, & collaborating with small shops so much I felt called this year to create a destination for all of my ideas to come together. I hired a designer to create a template for our business website so I could include my love for small shops all on one platform - so here we are!

This blog along with The Small Shop Community IG account will be a place for me to share my photography, our favorite small shops, a directory of places to shop, giveaways, events, sales, AND SO MUCH MORE. I have 1 million ideas & I am excited to see where this takes us.
