Exclusive Pattern Info, Pricing, & Licensing
Throughout my journey of building Sweet As April and diving into my love for surface pattern design, I’ve made some amazing connections with small businesses, artists, and makers who totally get my vibe. I’ve created beautiful patterns for friends like Ryan and Rose, teamed up with Maranda from LoveHeld on a bestselling sling design, and celebrated my artwork on gorgeous shoes with my talented friend Briana from Sun & Lace. My designs have also been worn by Lily at Starry Knight Design, she rocks their shoes daily. Plus, I’ve entered and won contests by big margins, all thanks to the incredible support I’ve received, and we've sold tons of bonnets featuring my work.
I’ve put my heart and soul into this craft, getting to a point where I collaborate with brands I really admire while also supporting my family, who have been my rock through this artistic journey for the past eight years. I’m super excited about what’s next for Sweet As April!
I’m an open book about my business decisions, so if you have any questions about my patterns, just reach out. For more info on my pricing and to check out my licensing agreement, keep scrolling.
With love for watercolors, patterns, and everything in between, I really appreciate you joining me on this adventure. It feels like I’m on the verge of something amazing, and I can’t wait to see where this new adventure takes me!
About My Exclusive Pattern Pricing
Creating art is a deeply personal journey that demands not just talent but also a significant investment of time and effort. I dedicate countless hours to honing my skills, researching, and experimenting, all of which are vital components of my creative process. The tools I use—whether they're digital or traditional, like paints and paper—are also a meaningful investment, reflecting my commitment to this art.
My unique style and vision are central to my work, and they influence how I approach pricing. Each piece I create is an expression of my individuality and artistic voice, which I hope resonates with others. Over time, I have worked hard to cultivate a distinct style and to build a brand that truly represents who I am as an artist and maker.
Additionally, my experience and education in this field inform my pricing decisions. I am dedicated to continuous learning, setting aside funds each year to further my education. I believe this ongoing pursuit of knowledge—about my art, other art forms, and the world around me—enriches my work and allows it to grow.
Setting fair prices is essential for me to sustain this artistic journey. It enables me to invest in my craft and manage my living expenses, ensuring that I can devote the necessary time and energy to the art I love.
By sharing my perspective, I hope to foster a greater understanding of the thought and care behind my pricing, as well as the true value of my work as an artist. Thank you for taking the time to appreciate this side of my creative process.
