Pixies Coming Soon!

.Pixie Bonnet

.

I am SO EXCITED that we’re FINALLY adding pixies to our lineup of bonnets. You’ve all asked over the years when we were going to do it (I mean, it was inevitable - they’re the sweetest ever!) but I can’t do things unless I know for a fact that we can do it right. When you run a small (but kinda big) business like we do there isn’t always the means to make things happen quickly. I am a one-woman show here at the studio & while Arleen & Mom do all of the sewing I have to be sure that taking on another bonnet style is something I can handle because this whole business begins & ends with me. Designing 30+ styles every month while sourcing materials & marketing this business is A LOT. I truly love doing it & I was ready to add another thing to my plate - or should I say Lily’s noggin!
.
So, I thought I would just go over some of the details since quite a few people have been inquiring about this new style. The sizing will be the same as our current bonnets but keep in mind that they will fit for longer because they stretch. They are made from knit materials & are not lined. We have not figured out a price point or when they will be on the website but when we do put them up for sale we will have a Basics Collection with solids that will always be available & restocked often (someone said we should do a signature SAA print... I love that idea!) but we will have fun prints (like the one Lily is wearing!) in the monthly drops. Those prints will be limited to that drop & will not be restocked (unless there is a huge amount of interest)

For right now we will be sticking to buying new yardage while we figure out what works best for what we’d like to do. The Basics Collection (like the linen ones we have right now) will always be made from new materials. Down the road I hope to upcycle knits into these pixies - we just first need to find the right material since we cannot make the trims from upcycled clothing. I always want to make you guys a quality product & with the type of work we do reducing textile waste means it takes a little bit more time sourcing materials.

I hope this all makes sense. Ask me anything below & I’ll try to answer! Love & PIXIES, guys! 🧚
